The late eighties, starting from scratch, Paul at The George Dorchester, Below  Paul's  wife  Georgina   again at  The George, a special place for them as it was here that they first met.

Back to the early 1980s, the Pheionx rises from the ashes, after the original show had been stolen van and all. The Paul Jones Mobile Disco, as pictured here at the old Magpie Club, Dorchester.

Going backwards here to 1974, no pictures found but just a poster for Stars under Stars. Dudsbury under the management of Dave Lever hosted this Giant  Show Biz Charity Barbecue, Presented by Roy Hudd, with surprise guests Lulu and  Mike Yarwood.

Paul was resident DJ at Dudsbury in the early seventies.  Dave Lever was well known in the entertainment world, so it became a regular calling place for Show-Biz personalities performing in Bournemouth. With all those stars around it felt nice for a shy young DJ to have a Disco Unit to hide behind.   Paul remembers a night when Eddie Large had his birthday party  at Dudsbury,   Lulu,  Millicent Martin, and Eliz Frazer sat a few feet away on the opposite side of the  narrow room,  completely unaware of how nervous the D J  really was.

In the late seventies the base unit made it's come back,  The original  stolen unit had also had over head lighting, and the same clip together, Paul calls it fair ground technology, and of course good old Pee Jay.
